Back of photograph: This photo was taken in Oct. 16 & in four days one notices the enormous increase in the number of shell holes. The Cemetary is shown in the photo & was [illegible] a strong [illegible]. Note how the battery positions shown in the other photo have been struffed in four day[sic]. The tracks show up very faintly & thus we can tell the places to especially straffe during reliefs. 59. Capt. J.V. Routley
