Abstract
The Gierer-Meinhardt system is a seminal reaction-diffusion model. This study aims to devise a numerical scheme for the long time simulation of the sub-diffusive variant (system with a memory effect) with a controlled precision and compare full numerical and asymptotical results. For the normal diffusion counterpart a good match between the two was demonstrated about 30 years ago. These two documents are work in progress student reports and will become viewable upon an acceptance of a peer-reviewed publication. |
